Make your portraits pop with light and color! In this independent video-only class, you’ll learn how to do just that—capturing a photo of someone special and taking it beyond paper by fusing it onto luminous glass.

Learn how the Vitrigraph kiln can expand your creative possibilities by letting you pull your own custom stringers from molten glass. This orientation includes a detailed online lesson followed by an in-person session. Completion qualifies you to rent the Vitrigraph kiln for your own Bullseye Glass projects at any Bullseye Glass Resource Center.

In this live online class, artist Richard Parrish teaches how to create striking bas-relief effects in kilnformed glass using fiber paper molds—a key difference from traditional plaster-silica casting. The class includes the instructional video Working in Shallow Space with Richard Parrish, which introduces the core projects and deepens understanding of material choices, color palettes, and coldworking techniques.

Note: While Gottschall Baker often combines multiple techniques in her sculptures, the lost wax kilncasting technique used to create the hand in the main image will not be covered during class.
