Build a body of work inspired by aspects of nature and create several different vessels with unique patterns and surprising depth. In this live online class, artist Frank van den Ham shares his process for creating vessels and scrolls without the use of commercial molds. The class includes the long-format instructional video Outside the Mold with Frank van den Ham, which details four distinct projects—two bowls and two scrolls of different sizes. The ebook of van den Ham's memoir, The Boy that Went on a Journey, is also included as part of the class downloads.

Note: While Gottschall Baker often combines multiple techniques in her sculptures, the lost wax kilncasting technique used to create the hand in the main image will not be covered during class.
