Delicate Disco Studio Sessions

Combine the Delicate Disco Online Class with this Studio Sessions add-on to make your class projects in a Bullseye Resource Center studio. This Studio Session Add-On includes workspace, kiln firings, and more. Separate purchase of the class Delicate Disco with Amanda Simmons is required.

Tools will be provided and RC Staff will assist with kiln programming, kiln setup, and firing as needed. Bring any chosen mark-making tools with you, as not everything Amanda demonstrates will be available at each location. Note that drop-out firings require you to monitor their progress, so plan on being in the studio following each studio session to monitor your drop-out firings. Following each firing, stop in to clean and assess the results from your fired pieces.

Your Delicate Disco Studio Session includes 4 in-person sessions which can be scheduled any time after Delicate Disco Class Session One, or after you’ve fully watched the class video.

This in-person studio session add-on for the online Delicate Disco class includes:

• In-store shopping at 50% off glass for your 45 samples, 8 small vessels, 3 nesting bowls, 2 medium, 1 large, and 1 extra large vessel
• 4 studio sessions with table space and hand tools provided at a local Bullseye Resource Center to complete the class projects
• 12 firings including the specialized equipment needed for this technique
• Long-term access to our Sandblaster Orientation video
• Long-term access to our Lapwheel Orientation video
• Long-term access to our Drop-Out Saw Orientation video which features additional content not covered in class
• 3 hours of Coldworking with access to the lap wheel, drop-out saw, and sandblaster to finish your projects

Build a body of work inspired by aspects of nature and create several different vessels with unique patterns and surprising depth. Using only Bullseye glass powders and clear Tekta, students will learn to create richly patterned and boldly colored vessels and practice the techniques through numerous dynamic projects. By adding on the Delicate Disco in Person Studio Sessions while taking the Delicate Disco four-part 15-hour class, beginning and advanced students alike will develop technical skill in working with powder, achieve dramatic slumps, and learn to coldwork thin work with confidence.
