In this live online class, artist Frank van den Ham shares his process for creating vessels and scrolls without the use of commercial molds. The class includes the long-format instructional video Outside the Mold with Frank van den Ham, which details four distinct projects—two bowls and two scrolls of different sizes. The ebook of van den Ham's memoir, The Boy that Went on a Journey, is also included as part of the class downloads.

Note: While Gottschall Baker often combines multiple techniques in her sculptures, the lost wax kilncasting technique used to create the hand in the main image will not be covered during class.

Learn how the Vitrigraph kiln can expand your creative possibilities by letting you pull your own custom stringers from molten glass. This orientation includes a detailed online lesson followed by an in-person session.
