Creating ultra-thin glassware is possible in a kiln even if you don’t have a kiln! By adding on the Under Pressure In Person Studio Sessions while taking our online Under Pressure two-part 6-hour class, beginning and advanced students alike will learn to make fused pieces as thin as 1-3mm by working under pressure in our kilns. The online class will explore the distinct painterly effects working under pressure can offer—whether soothing gradients or kinetic patterns. Along with the unique visual and technical capabilities this process unlocks, it also provides a method for transforming small glass pieces into larger glassworks of exquisite color. Don’t be held back by the equipment and let yourself experiment with new techniques in our studios.
