Fire up your inner alchemist!
In this live online class, you will explore the intrigues of glass chemistry, the subtle and dramatic reactive potential of various glass styles, how some glasses can develop unusual surfaces, and how to work with silver foil. By class's end, you’ll understand the art of harnessing (or avoiding) all of these phenomena.
This live online class includes:
- Long-term online access to the 65-minute instructional video
- 2 live class sessions over Zoom with Bullseye’s Hannah Gulick
- In-depth coverage of special effects with Bullseye glass
- A lovely, info-loaded Class Guide
The class will happen over two sessions:
- The first of these is a Viewing Party where you go through the video lesson chapter by chapter with your cohort and instructor Hannah Gulick. Students will be able to ask questions and get live answers throughout this session.
- The second live, online session will take place several weeks later, after you’ve had time to experiment with techniques of your choice. During the follow up, Hannah will review students' uploaded images of class projects, leading discussion on what worked, what didn’t, and why.
With the knowledge and skills gained in this class, you'll be ready to conjure and command a wide array of special effects in Bullseye glass!
This is a great class for beginning and intermediate kilnforming students. For a glimpse at the tools and material involved, check out the class's Materials List.
