Gail Stouffer began her journey in the world of kilns two decades ago, after leaving behind a successful career in corporate communications. She holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art Education, which have fueled her passion for creating, teaching, and helping others find their own artistic voice. Over the years, Gail has explored a wide range of mediums, including metal clay, glass fusing, pottery, furnace work, metalsmithing, torch work, printmaking, and even crayons. Her expertise has allowed her to teach techniques to artists all around the world, and she has become particularly obsessed with kilns. For 10 years, Gail operated a retail store and gift gallery in San Antonio that sold glass and metalsmithing supplies, as well as offering workshops in both disciplines. Despite her devotion to her business, Gail knew that the rise of online retailers would make it difficult for brick-and-mortar stores to compete. Feeling the pinch herself, she realized it was time to evolve her business. In 2010, she launched KilnFrog.com, which has since become the top online destination in the United States for consumer kilns, ovens, furnaces, parts, and accessories. |
