Welcome to Santa Fe Sandblaster Orientation! With the help of this online tutorial and in-person orientation you will soon understand how to operate a sandblaster safely and confidently!
In the first part of class, you’ll follow along with the quick Sandblaster Orientation video and its downloadable Class Guide, for a basic education in sandblaster operation. In the second part of class, you’ll schedule an appointment at Bullseye Resource Center Santa Fe. During your appointment, you’ll receive in-person, hands-on oversight of your sandblaster competency using a small piece of provided glass. After you've demonstrated that you know your way around the sandblaster, you will be approved to rent and use it for your own Bullseye Glass projects!
To get started, sign up, then download your Class Guide. It contains lots of helpful information, plus the link and password you'll need to access the video tutorial.
Please note: this orientation does not teach glassworking methods or introduce projects. To find inspirational applications for the sandblaster, check out videos like Sandblasting Basics or Design, Blast, and Fire with Plants, available through a $45 yearly subscription to Bullseye Videos.
Long pants and closed toed shoes are recommended in the glass studio. An N95 particulate mask (or equivalent) is also recommended for sandblasting.
We look forward to seeing you!
