Creating ultra-thin glassware is possible in a kiln. In this two-part 5.5-hour class, beginning and advanced students alike will learn to make fused pieces as thin as 1-3mm by working under pressure in their kilns. The class will explore the distinct painterly effects working under pressure can offer—whether soothing gradients or kinetic patterns. Along with the unique visual and technical capabilities this process unlocks, it also provides a method for transforming small glass pieces into larger glassworks of exquisite color. Thin for the win!
