Learn to transform textured sheet glass into patterns that will ultimately be used to make a set of nesting plates. Students in this project-based class will work with powder, stringer, and bubble trapping techniques to create test tiles. These tests will provide essential information for designing the final set. (Basic design principles, lay out, and intercutting glasses will also be covered.) In addition to a creating a beautifully composed set of plates, you will gain the confidence to continue making and experimenting. This is a great next step after Glass Fusing Fundamentals or other introductory kilnforming workshops. However, beginners are also encouraged to enroll.
Your plates will be available for pick-up 3-4 days later.
