Working with the techniques Martha Pfanschmidt has developed for creating her colorful abstract works, the students will use colored powders and tekta to construct multi-layered pieces that have a complex, yet clear visual language. From patterned and colored parts the students create they will develop larger compositions by cutting and re-assembling the parts into “collaged” pieces. The final firing will result in visually complex finished works. This workshop is ideal for artists from other media and beginning to advanced kiln-glass practitioners.
