Working with the techniques Martha Pfanschmidt has developed for creating her colorful abstract works, the students will use colored powders and tekta to construct multi-layered pieces that have a complex and yet clear visual language. From patterned and colored parts the students create they will develop larger compositions by cutting and re-assembling the parts into final “collaged” pieces. The final firing will result in visually complex finished works. This workshop is ideal for artists from other media and beginning to advanced kiln-glass practitioners.
