Intersection: a point or surface at which lines meet. Whether you think of this as two roads crossing or a mathematical theorem, it is the idea of a meeting place, a joining, a connection that can lead to the creation of something new. Through intersecting lines and shapes you can open up a whole new world of expression.
In this class, we will focus on making prefired elements to use as inclusion, creating pieces with protrusions coming out of them. We will also learn how to create pieces that fit together, forming either a sitting or stacking pair. There may be the opportunity to create a trio or other assemblages, as time, space, and design allow.
You can expect to finish 2-3 pieces during the class. Our time will include some coldworking and some cold fusion (gluing). As always, we will be working hard and fast and having lots of fun along the way!
This class is best for someone who has taken my class before or has experience mold making and modeling with clay.
