About the Instructor.
Roger Thomas began to work with stained glass in California in 1973. A decade later, he turned to fusing. In 1988, he moved his studio to Portland, OR, where he continues to experiment with fused glass as a pictorial medium and to develop methods of dealing with what he calls "the fused glass palette." He attempts to extract the essence of form with a graphic shorthand in order to communicate his view of the world to others. He exhibits his "paintings in glass" and teaches his techniques internationally.
